Under the Dome 3×01&02 ‘Move On/But I’m Not’: Finally interesting

Yes, I have always been a big fan of Under the Dome, and no, I never once complained about repetition, annoying characters, muddled plot-lines, or anything like that. And no I’m not linking you to all of my former blog posts, so you can start following my writing blog, I would NEVER do something like that! So welcome to alternate universe reviewing where I no longer have asthma or have to wear my glasses, and I’m a chain smoking sorority girl…I’m already liking it here!

It’s not like I want to be in the real world anyway. It’s literally the only place where Big Jim, his big gun, and his nonsensical barricade live, and I don’t want to go anywhere near that!

Seriously though, I feel like I’m in some kind of alternate universe where an episode of this show actually kicked ass, and has me on the edge for next week.

Not to link you to another of my glorious reviews again, but I totes called the alien thing plus not trusting Melanie as far as you could throw her undead butt. I never actually got why anyone believed her because the dome literally sent her! And you know what else the dome sent? The freakin dome! And Julia, I know you’re monarch/queen bae of the dome and all, but why in the hell do you still think it’s up to good things?

Well wait, hold on, actually let’s explore this a little. One of the best things about tonight’s episode (besides the adorable dog following Mr. Domehead Grumpypants around) was the scene that was literally the fastest and most heart-stopping. Yeah, the fact that these “beings” have manipulated the townsfolk in a very Truman Show/Matrix-y way is creepy as all hell, but look at their last few seconds in that manipulated world.

Joe was about to forgive Sam, Norrie is happy and accepts herself as does Hunter and they were about to hella accept each other, Barbie was about to say he loved Eva and was going to have a child, and Junior was going to burn done what belonged to his father and wipe him out of his memory. They were all getting closure once and for all, some of which needed to happen long before the dome even crashed down. I don’t know about you, but if I got ripped out of a place that ended all of my pains and problems, including a large freaking dome over my head, then I would be so beyond upset.

Not saying that what these “beings” are doing is right, but at least they weren’t transported into some alien cocoon world to wake up in the arms of their long lost loved one.

Talk about disorienting.

Although it would make sense for an alien life form to give you a good life and distract you from the hellish cocoon you’re sleeping in, so they can suck the life-force out of you without complaint. At least that’s what I think they’re trying to do.

And are Eva and Christine two of those “beings?” And what’s going to happen to the dome? And will Barbie and Julia ever have a day to themselves where neither one of them is dying? What is going on?!?!?!?!?!

I don’t know, but I kind of hope that the show will explain soon because we are so damn close to knowing everything! And yeah, I know that’ll basically be the end of the show, especially if the dome goes down, but for once since the first few episodes, I’m immensely intrigued.

All in all, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, that was the best Under the Dome episode I’ve seen in a long time, and I’m truly impatient to see what happens next.
