Elizabeth-Cyrus-Michael-Mellie-Andrew (Quinn-Huck-Javi)

The case-of-the-week is Elizabeth North, the female head of the Republican National Committee, who believes that her phone has been bugged. Huck finds out that the person behind the hacking is Cyrus which prompts Olivia to meet with him. Cyrus admits his secret life with Michael that allows an escape from reality. He explains that Elizabeth is out for blood against the current White House administration and that he bugged the phone to learn what dirt she had. Olivia can’t help Cyrus as Elizabeth is her client, but eventually she decides to help her friend. OPA discover that Elizabeth has pictures and videos of Cyrus with Michael with Cyrus seeing the irony as he wrote the book on the political extortion of lust and greed. In the end Olivia tells Elizabeth that the bug was actually a virus that affected devices weeks prior, showing her loyalty to her friend.

Meanwhile a car bomb goes off as an attempt on the life of Vice President Andrew Nichols who just gave a speech on the crisis in West Angola. Mellie immediately goes to visit the VP to check on him. She kisses him, he rips off her blouse and things get saucy. Mellie and Andrew talk with her realizing that she doesn’t want to lose Andrew like she lost Jerry. She wants a second chance with him and the two begin to kiss once again. Outside the White House, Quinn is still working the Winslow case. She has tracked down Kubiak, the head of security for Mr. Winslow, but he is doing nothing. Huck is distracted from helping Quinn by spending time with his son Javi.

Later that evening Michael shows up unannounced at Cyrus’ home. He teases Cyrus into some very rough activities. At OPA Huck finds that Michael had a plethora of classified intel on Cyrus, but only leaked the military plans to Elizabeth which prompts Olivia to confront Michael as to why he did not leak more. Huck also finds that Elizabeth has a secret apartment under a false identity so he goes to investigate by setting up surveillance in the apartment. Olivia calls Cyrus to explain Elizabeth’s love nest and that Michael actually cares about him causing some relief for Cyrus.

Huck continues his surveillance of Elizabeth with Javi until a man enters the apartment. He tells Javi to get some ice-cream incase things get a bit inappropriate. When he leaves Quinn comes to the van, apparently she followed Kubiak to an apartment. They check the video and he’s with Elizabeth! They discuss Jeremy Winslow, showing that Elizabeth is in on the Winslow scandal. Suddenly a knock is at the door. It’s VP Nichols! He tells Kubiak to leave and then he starts to kiss Elizabeth! THEY ARE HAVING AN AFFAIR. BUT HE JUST KISSED MELLIE! Huck and Quinn are confused by this until Kubiak attacks the van, almost choking Huck to death. Lucikly he is able to subdue Kubiak, but not without Javi witnessing the whole thing and running off. Huck you have some ‘splainin’ to do.

Olivia-Fitz-Jake-Rowan-David

Onto the juicier storyline! Jake, Fitz and Olivia continue their meeting in the bunker to discuss the Rowan problem. Jake wants to kill Rowan, Fitz wants a trial. Jake knows that he cannot be released or else Rowan will become suspicious. Fitz and Jake act like children fighting over Olivia until Jake agrees to a trial revealing that he has the B613 files as evidence. Rowan calls Olivia to complain that she blew him off for dinner and that Fitz and Jake will always be boys and unlike them, he will always be there for Olivia.

The three musketeers bring in David to help prosecute Rowan by using the B613 files. However, they want a discreet trial with minimal blowback on the White House and OPA. Rosen says he will see what he can do. After this meeting, Fitz pulls Olivia aside and they kiss before a rather flustered Olivia leaves. Jake agrees to testify at the tribunal, asking if Olivia will get him out if Fitz makes excuses to keep him detained and she says of course. They discuss how to apprehend Rowan. Fitz wants to send a special ops team into Control, but Jake says they would be slaughtered and suggests leading the charge himself. Fitz scoffs at the idea and the childhood bantering begins again. Olivia decides that they must use her as bait to get her father.

She calls Rowan and explains that Jake and Fitz are immature and hurting her. She needs her father. They go to dinner where a team of special ops surround the building, awaiting Fitz’s orders. However, Rowan reveals he is aware of the plan as each of the soldiers fall. Rosen discovers that the B613 files are all blank resulting in no evidence to arrest Rowan. Rowan is disgusted with Olivia’s behaviour and says that he is leaving. Enjoy life without your guardian angel Olivia. Sounds like he’s been pulling the strings behind the scenes for a while now. Hopefully that doesn’t shake her confidence.
