This weeks episode of Hart of Dixie was probably my favorite episode of the entire show. It was adorable and cheesy and unexpected. It wasn’t that predictable and the entire episode kept me on my toes. I’m just so giddy after watching it.

Anabeth and Lavon are celebrating the one year anniversary of their first “date” and Anabeth thinks Lavon is going to propose because he said “it would be a night that she would remember forever.” Well, it may also be a ‘day’ that she will remember forever because while taking her employee physical, we find that Anabeth has a growth on her ovary and it may be cancer. She has to wait a day to find out the results, but in that time, Lavon may propose and she doesn’t want to have this weight hanging on her shoulders when he proposes, so Zoe swoops in to save Anabeth by showing up and telling Lavon she isn’t leaving until he and Joel get along. Joel and Lavon eventually find common ground in Game of Thrones. Lavons Surprise? Watching Night of the Living Dead on a 20 foot screen. Nowhere near proposing. I cannot! That was so unexpected. Absolutely adorable. Anabeth is cancer-free and all is well.

There is a large and terrifying man looking for Wade because he slept with his girlfriend. Not really a necessary storyline but it did take up more than enough screen time.
Joel has finally found a new friend in Bluebell, Wade. Zoe is against this blooming friendship. I think Wade has a hidden agenda to get Zoe back. As much as I love Zoe/Wade, Joel has grown on me. He’s a great character addition to the show, in my opinion.

Lemon has been blacklisted by Crickett since quitting the Belles. Now she needs a way to get into the Annual Halloween Masquerade Ball so she pulls out the big guns: Grandma. Grandma gets her an invite and date to the party: Tanner Hughes, an eligible bachelor that Lemon should be proud to be on the arm of. Too bad he’s awful. Lemon re-meets a man at the party, who overheard everything she told her Grandma about Tanner. Lemon originally met him at the Rammer Jammer earlier that day when she bumped into him and rudely told him to watch where he’s going. MEET-CUTE ALERT. Peter, this man, woos Lemon and takes her away from the party. They are adorable. I totally ship it.
This episode was just non-stop adorable. Lemon’s grandmother, played by the incomparable Maree Cheatham, was fantastic. I laughed out loud multiple times. Halloween episodes are always the funnest of the season, no matter what show you are watching. The only thing that had left to be desired in this episode was the music. I usually love the music on this show, but the entire time, I was thinking, “What. is going on. with this music right now?!”
What did all of you thinking about the episode? Was it good for you? Sound off down below!
