Chicago PD 4×02 ‘Made a Wrong Turn’ Where’s the Body At?

After the dramatics of last week’s episode, things seem to have calmed down. And by that I mean no one was murdered, no bodies dug up, and none of the Intelligence team was almost arrested. However we do have Mouse planning to join back up with the Rangers, Linstead moving in together and Platt facing off against Commander Fogel.

Things seem to be a little bit awkward between Hank and Erin. Perhaps moving a body doesn’t quite bond you as much as we assumed. I guess it could make things slightly uncomfortable to know that your idol has murdered someone and gone against what you believe to be the right and just thing to do. Although Erin does love Voight and felt the need to protect him, she also is probably questioning who he really is and if she knows him at all. Could this have something to do with her suggestion to Jay to move in to her apartment instead of getting their own place together? Perhaps she thinks that Jay will reveal himself to be someone she doesn’t know just like Voight has. And when things go sideways she will still have her apartment, she won’t have made such a big change. That or she stashed the body in her place and can’t move for fear of someone finding it. Although that sounds a lot more interesting it is also a lot less realistic. I mean how could she drag a body into an apartment without anyone noticing and where would she put it? Is that what’s in the wall behind the posters?! Jay can’t have his guy install his big fancy TV with the hidden wires because whilst hiding the wires they shall uncover the dead body. Now I’m just making stuff up. But after covering Pretty Little Liars for two years your brain starts thinking up crazy theories on its own accord.

Mouse is conflicted. He doesn’t know if he is making a difference being apart of the Intelligence team. With the social upheaval that is taking place in the Country at the moment Mouse is unsure whether they are the good guys or the bad guys. So instead of sitting behind a computer in a city where people are being shot on the streets daily, where you don’t know if you can trust the police, or who the bad guys actually are, Mouse is opting to go back to Afghanistan where he sees things in a simpler way. The only problem is that he needs Voight to lie for him. Now we know that Voight takes care of his own but what does he think the best thing for Mouse is? Jay said that when he came back the last time Mouse was dealing with depression, insomnia and substance abuse. Would going back into the service be the best decision for him? It would also mean that Voight would have to put himself on the line. It’s not like he hasn’t done a lot worse in the past, however he has a lot of eyes on him at the moment just waiting for something they can use to nail him to the wall. Now might not be the best time to forge some undercover paperwork just to loose a member of your team.

Speaking of loosing a member of the team, will we loose Tay just as we are getting used to her? Commander Fogel was not happy to see that Officer Tay had been moved to the 21st Division. Whether he was trying to silence her or punish her by stranding her at a dead end position is unclear. However you can tell that he’s pissed. Especially when Platt points out why she went over his head to free Tay from her banishment. It looks as though Platt has made a new enemy. It is amazing that she has gone to bat for Julie however I hope it doesn’t mean the end to her career. I don’t know what I would do without Platt’s random lines. Tonight’s favorite was her telling Burgess she knows a few Officers who would want to bend her over a futon. And on that note, I shall leave you to contemplate the fate of Linstead, Mouse and Platt. Until next week.
