Amidst a horrifying and disturbing case the Intelligence team has their own personal battles to deal with. Hank is trying to keep Lindsay away from her mother, while Burgess tries to figure out how to talk to Roman about his possible drug addiction.

Straight from mom’s apartment where she has cups of booze and pills handed to her, to dad’s house where she’s got coffee and drug tests. Hank is keeping up with the guidelines he has set. Weekly drug tests and NO BUNNY! Bunny hasn’t gotten that message yet though since Erin has been putting off breaking up with her mom. Understandably since it is her mother after all. Voight doesn’t care how hard it is though, preferring to take the tough love approach telling her to ‘take care of it’. Eventually after MANY declined phone calls Erin braves a visit with her mom to tell lay down the law. Of course Bunny doesn’t take it well. Lindsay even tries to soften the blow by telling her that it’s not that Bunny is bad for her, it’s that they are bad for each other. Which is true. The worse thing for someone with an addiction to be around is another person with an addiction. They will always just enable each other. However Bunny doesn’t care about getting Erin better, she just wants to keep her partner in crime so she lashes out saying that Voight is going to get Erin killed “just like he got Nadia killed”. Which A isn’t true and B is very insensitive for her to say. Erin is still clearly grieving and throwing out Nadia’s name and what happened to her so offhandedly and as a ploy to get Erin to stay is just rude and cruel.

Bunny is so upset at Hank for stealing her daughter away from her that she decides to take matters into her own hands. She heads in to what looks like the Chicago Police Headquarters and states to the receptionist that she would like to provide proof against Voight regarding a wrongful arrest to get his badge taken away from him and get him thrown in jail once and for all. I don’t know what her game plan is here because even if she gets Voight out of the way Erin is probably going to be pretty pissed at her for intentionally getting her surrogate father arrested and getting her boss fired. But Bunny doesn’t seem like someone who thinks about other people’s feelings. Just what she wants and how to get it.

Even though Erin is adhering to all of his conditions Voight is still concerned about Lindsay, like a good parent would be. He has a very sweet moment where he pulls Halstead aside to make sure that he can count on him to watch out for Lindsay. Hank tells Halstead that he doesn’t care what their relationship is, just that he knows someone will have her back 24/7. Jay replies of course he will always be there for her, because he clearly loves her (I inferred the last part). But he seems more focused on the part where Voight pretty much just gave them the ok to start dating again. Something he is eager to tell his brother Dr. Halstead. It’s cute how excited Jay gets because you can tell he really cares for Lindsay. And can I say I really want to see them together because not only are they adorable every time they interact but they will be the most attractive couple I have ever seen.

Last episode Burgess discovered a needle in Roman’s bag. The possibilities for what it’s use could be endless, but it appears that it may have just been bait to intrigue us. Instead of it being drugs like Kim assumes, Sean has been taking injections to prepare for surgery. He is donating bone marrow to a little boy with leukemia. It was a victim him and Burgess had saved previously and he feels it isn’t fair for him to loose his life after everything he has been through if Roman can do something to help. He didn’t tell anyone because he is just that dreamboat that doesn’t need the recognition for doing something selfless. I don’t know where this storyline is going or if this is the end of it and it was meant solely to peak our interests and give Roman a storyline. Perhaps they are setting up a romantic storyline between Roman and Burgess. I mean they keep mentioning how he always falls for his female partners and what’s more interesting than a love triangle? I think there are many things more interesting but television always seems to disagree with me. Let’s hope it’s not something so stereotypical.
