Bachelor in Paradise 1×03 ‘Week 3’: Elise finds her rainbow

Source: ABC

Can I just say that some of these people are WAY too clingy?  I mean, just because you went on one date with someone doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to date anyone else.  The whole point of the show is to find love, and normally it’s not at first sight.  You need to shop around!

Dylan and Elise, Marquel and Michelle, Robert and Lacy… they were all paired up at the beginning, but as soon as Elise started talking to Chris and Marquel started talking to Danielle and Lacy started talking to Marcus and Robert started talking to Sarah, people got butt-hurt.  Hold your horses, kids, one date (or a couple weeks of flirting) doesn’t mean commitment.

I think Graham is the only person who understands this, and the poor guy is locked in with AshLee.  But as he said, he doesn’t want to put pressure on forever right away.  I think Elise, Lacy and Marcus, Michelle, maybe even Robert and Sarah are rushing things and getting possessive right away.  Clare and Zack seem stable, but they also met previously and were good friends before the show, so it’s not as weird that their relationship seems to be off to a quick, but good, start.  I wonder how long Chris and Elise will last after their three-day affair?

My favorite moments of this episode, of course, were Clare’s continuing fascination with animals (this time it was a turtle); Chris grunting and saying “my leg hurts” on his overnight date with Elise; Graham’s face when AshLee says she follows him on Instagram; Chris being sweet to Michelle at the end (pretty sure the producers put him up to that); and the circus music whenever Elise said, well, anything.
