Bachelor in Paradise 1×01 ‘Week 1’: Lust, love and Lacy

Source: ABC

Everyone’s buzzing about this show and it’s no wonder — who doesn’t want to watch a bunch of conventionally good-looking people attempt to “find love” in a beautiful place?  It’s better than a soap opera, and surely more entertaining than real-life drama.  At least we can just laugh and not be part of the madness.  Whew!

A lot has already happened in this first week.  The couples thus far are Michelle M and Marquel, Elise and Dylan, Lacy and Robert — or so we thought.  Marcus also likes Lacy, but Sarah likes Marcus.  Michelle K left on her own and Daniella was sent home.  Ben didn’t make a connection with anyone but chose to give Sarah the rose after Marcus chose Lacy, and Robert chose Clare.

Let’s talk about AshLee and Graham, though.  I think we can all agree that AshLee is a little insane.  Within 24 hours of meeting Graham, she was already acting possessive and jealous.  Clare initially asked Graham on her date, but decided to be nice and took Robert instead.  A lot of the girls liked Graham right away and AshLee has put him in a really awkward position where he can’t meet anyone else.  It’s unfair and weird, but then again, Graham can reject her at anytime and doesn’t have to stay locked in her crazy grasp.  Therefore, I don’t feel sorry for him.

I also noticed that Cody and Tasos will be joining the show from Andi’s season, which I’m excited about.  I haven’t seen any other seasons or versions of The Bachelor so I’m rooting for those guys.  I’m also intrigued by Michelle K’s leaving but then again, it was pretty obvious when Chris Harrison asked if everyone there was single and she said “maybe”.  Weirdo!
