Season 4 continues not to disappoint. This week’s installment went back to its comedy roots by focusing on rivalry between the sophomores. The week’s episode took place during spirit week and how seniors usually win but the “sophomore sluts” are determined to dethrone them. Seems like a dumb plot, but it actually was one of the strongest episodes in a while. It’s funny how the theory with sophomores is actually kind of true. A group of people always change from freshman to sophomore year and not always for the better.
The performance of the week goes to… Eva. Although her part was small, I liked that her loyalty showed. I was always on the fence with her and didn’t know what her game was; however, I know now that she has Jenna’s best interest at heart. Last week, we saw that Eva was at Matty’s house and were not sure if something happened. Thankfully, we found out that she just talked with him and she had no idea that they had a history.
Ok I’m not liking the new Jake and Matty. The whole rebellious and no care duo is not cutting it. At the end of the episode, Matty wrecks his car pretty much on purpose. I know he figured out he was adopted, but that doesn’t give him a reason to destroy his car. Jake has been the more annoying one. First it was his music, now he is being mean. Tamara is definitely self-centered but he always knew that. She hasn’t changed but it seems like he has.
Next week’s episode they go on a college visit and Jenna meets a college student and it looks like they hook up. That’ll be interesting to say the least. For all who are reading, what do you think of Eva? Do you like the new Matty or Jake better?
