Agent Carter 2×05 ‘The Atomic Job’: The first Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Rose is a goddess and everything I want to be when I grow up. Also Samberly and her are the first FitzSimmons without all the drama. Fight me on it.

I found my new favorite episode already and we’re only half way through the season. Just everything, everything about this episode was great.

Of course Peggy would recruit a team of what everyone would think of as misfits, and God bless ‘em, they rocked the hell out of it. They were bumbling and hilarious, but they got the job done with only a couple of hiccups.

Like how Peggy got impaled for instance, but she totally bounced back, as of course we knew she would.

If you didn’t think about AoS at all when they were trying to dismantle the atom bombs, I don’t know what to tell you because it was an obvious comparison. Well, for me at least.

Still just think, the motley crew of the SSR was the precursor for the even motley-er crew of S.H.I.E.L.D., and they both fight for the same things while still trying to slide under the radar. So maybe Samberly, Rose, Fitz and Simmons won’t be recognized by many or anyone at all, but they still fight the good fight.

Rose does need her own show though. That is something I can totally get behind.

The other thing I can get behind is Daniel still being in love with Peggy, and while that scene played out like many I’ve seen before, I was still beyond excited that it happened. Not that I didn’t want Daniel to be happy with Violet. I mean, she’s awesome! She took Peggy into her own home and saved her in the middle of the night, after a long and tiring day being a nurse. She’s a superhero in her own right, and I hope we can see more of her sans the Daniel relationship drama.

Speaking of which, what the hell happened between Peggy and Daniel! Can we please get an answer for that?! There is so much tension between the two that not only am I curious, but now I just really, really want them together. I mean Violet is kind of out of the picture, and Jason is literally out of the picture, so it’s the perfect time to strike.

Well, besides Whitney Frost trying to get atomic weapons to make her the most powerful person in the world.

She’s also terrifying her husband, and I’m guiltily enjoying every second of it.

“You’ll watch your tone”

All in all I am terribly in love with this show, which means it’ll probably get cancelled, knowing my luck, but I am hell bent on enjoying every second of it while it lasts.
